Controversial actor, Uche Maduagwu, has slammed Nigerian billionaire and politician, Ned Nwoko, over claims that men are responsible for the high increase in prostitution.

The former lawmaker in an interview with the Guardian said if Nigerian men marry more than one wife the narrative of high prostitution level might reduce.

According to him, Nigerian men should emulate their northern colleagues by marrying more than one wife, because their refusal to do so contributes to immorality in society.

He said there are several unmarried women in the southern part of the country, and the situation has caused a high rate of prostitution.

Reacting to the statement, Uche berated the lawmaker for making such comments, stating that he blames Rita Daniels for giving her daughter, Regina to him, little wonder he can think in such a manner.

Using King Solomon in the Bible as a reference, Uche noted that marrying many wives can not stop prostitution.

He wrote: “Seriously? And he want to represent Delta people with this KUNU sense? Na Regina Mama we blame for Dashing you her Pikin.

“King Solomon who had 300 wives, Abeg did that stop him from having hundreds of Concubines?”
