Zelensky was travelling in a motorcade through Kyiv when a motorist collided with his vehicle.

Nikiforov said, “In Kyiv, a passenger car collided with the car of the President of Ukraine and escort vehicles.

“Medics accompanying the President provided the driver of the passenger car with emergency aid and transferred him to an ambulance.

“The president was examined by a doctor, no serious injuries were detected. The law enforcement officers will investigate all the circumstances of the accident.”

Zelensky after incident proceeded to Kharkiv, where he made a surprise visit to Izyum.

The Ukrainian forces had recently retaken the city in a counterattack, with the Ukrainian soldiers taking over thousands of square miles.

Zelensky while speaking after the visit said was shocked with the level of damage done to the city by the Russian troops.

He said, “Our blue and yellow flag is already flying in de-occupied Izium. And it will be so in every Ukrainian city and village. We are moving in only one direction: forward towards victory.”
