Major roads in London were brought to standstill from the church at Commercial Road E1 through to the Reception at the Lakeview Marquee in Barkingside 1G6. It was a very memorable and colourful event when Gadaf Malik-Abbas and his heartthrob, Francesca Manzoeto finally exchanged their vows. Immediately after receiving the blessings at the church, the Nikai ceremony was also conducted to officially welcome the bride into Islamic household.
The event was very remarkable as it ushered in a true unity in diversity. With the bride from an Angolan and Congolese parentage, the audience was treated to a variety of songs, music, foods and dances. Throughout the day, you could actually feel love in the air with the audience being unique. The reception Lakeview Marquee was exotic with exquisite and exclusive make-over, it was romantically explicit. The spokesperson for the groom’s family, Omoba Bayo Onabote (Kakanfo Bobamayegun of Ijebuland) enjoined every guest to dine and wine till they voluntarily retired. Owing to some logistic reasons, many members of the family could not attend this ceremony in London. These were hosted by the groom’s maternal family (Alhaja Falilat Garba) to a grand reception.
The wedding ceremony was actually launched a week earlier with the Traditional Engagement at St Edmunds Church Centre E4. The Bridal Train was very articulating as it lightened up the atmosphere by taking Nigeria to Angola and bringing Congo to Kwara.
From this stable, we wish the newest couple in town an unending marital bliss!
